Diurnal Memories

This is a project started in 2008 and is continuously growing by new series.
The pictures are made with the “glimpse of an eye”, as we – man – take a peek at feminine appearance, which is sexy, erotic or appealing. These everyday impressions give us those moments, which we can hardly forget during our daily routine.
The images of the series are made with the camera of a mobile phone – following the philosophy of lomography – but they are cropped and digitally post processed afterwards. The works are finalized with acrylic image transfer on academy drawing paper.

Each image was made manually, manipulated and taken care of, to be the most personal work each moment of a memory deserves. Like Polaroid transfer images, these works are also unique and the red gesture paintings (in theMemories with Red series) tend to underline emotions and small vibrations. They are also a reference to calligraphy and minimalist painting.
